The astute Googler probably won't have much trouble figuring out when this photo was taken, but the folks at the Boston City Archives wonder if you can figure out where. See it larger.

I want to say somewhere off Andrew Square, Dorchester Street?

"Furcolo" was the original name for Pepsi, but they decided against it...

Sorry me bad....Wareen and Park. This site is St. Mary's elderly housing. You can see the garage in the background, it used to be offices in the 60-70s.

East Boston
Given the posters for Lopresti, it's likely East Boston. I'm not familiar enough with the area to say exactly where, though.

Eastie
With signs for Mario Umana and Lo Presti, I'd say Eastie as well.

Eastie, ca. 1956. Judging by the size of the billboard on the right I'd say somewhere near 1A.
Haymarket
Portland and Merrimac. Those are pretty nice cars for a residential neighborhood.
The Answer!
Thanks for playing everyone! This is 3 Warren St in Charlestown. It was taken on September 5, 1956 as part of a series of photos documenting an urban renewal project in Charlestown. You can see more photos from that project here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cityofbostonarchives/...
Those are some nasty buildings
I hope nobody was living there when the photos were taken.
Warren and Park was correct, too
Here's the view today:

I just went past that parking garage today. The top floor is now (once again) offices and has a For Rent sign.
Warren and Adams Streets don't meet today and never met in the past. Someone may have been confused because the inbound #93 bus goes via Adams, then Common, then Park streets, without ever seeming to make a turn.
