Rick Macomber was on scene when state and local police took the man into custody near Railroad Street in Revere shortly after midnight. NECN and WHDH have more.

like a good poster for a bad movie.
The headline, however, raises the remote possibility that it might be a good movie. I mean, it's hard to drive a van into a pool during a getaway. It takes creative stupidity.
East Boston man?
The NECN report says the suspect is from Peabody, and the WHDH report doesn't identify him at all. Where are you getting East Boston from? Perhaps, like me, you realize Peabody, Lynnfield and Saugus are "East Boston North", as all the old time Italian East Boston residents migrated to those communities in droves in the 70s and 80s.
