Orange Line service was shut shortly after 8 a.m. as firefighters and EMTs rushed to Jackson Square to extricate somebody from under a train there. The T ran shuttle buses until around 9:15 a.m., when regular service was resumed. No further details available.

The Herald reports ISD slapped the owner of 89 Forest Hills St. with the citations over Tuesday's porch collapse, which killed one of the two men working on it without proper permits. OSHA is also investigating.

Around 10:40 a.m. at 89 Forest Hills St. Two workers were building a third-floor rear porch when it collapsed onto the second-floor porch.
One worker died, the other was less seriously injured.
In addition to firefighters and paramedics, ISD and OSHA were also called in.

The Globe reports on a hearing this morning in West Roxbury District Court for Nikolas Papadopoulos, charged with causing a crash that sent six people to the hospital last year - permanently injuring two of them, one a Dorchester father of three, the other just 14 at the time.
The Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports that because he withdrew his plea, Papadopoulos is now scheduled for trial in March.

A teacher at the Mission Hill K-8 school was arraigned today on a charge of indecent assault and battery on a minor for a Sunday incident at Boston Medical Center, the Suffolk County DA's office says.
Boston Police responded to the scene at about 6:00 yesterday evening after being notified by BUMC Police about an alleged sexual assault at the hospital earlier that afternoon. After speaking with witnesses at the scene, including BUMC Police officers who had reviewed footage from hospital surveillance cameras, Cortes was taken into custody.

The suspect is a black man, about 6' and slim, wearing a dark hoodie, seen jumping into the passenger seat of a newer white Altima, which sped down Lamartine toward Stony Brook.
Police found shell casings on Chestnut Avenue, across Centre from where the victim was shot.

The student was transported to a local hospital with a stab wound to the upper right torso. BPS says his injuries are not considered life threatening.

Jamaica Plain News reports that mid morning on Oct. 27, two alleged goons stuck a knife up to somebody coming out of Ruggierio's Market on Washington Street and demanded all his belongings - just as a cop was coming out of the E-13 station next door. They made like eggs and beat it.
