I grew up in Newburyport and knew Fran pretty well. She used to drive this car with big purple lightning bolts down the side.

For the first half century or so of her life, Fran Dalton was Frank Dalton. But by whatever name or gender, she's a talented photographer and an all around great person. I'm very sad to hear that her health is failing.
