Shuttered Mission Hill eatery could become edgy sushi place

The owners of the Ginger Exchange in Inman Square go before the Boston Licensing Board on Wednesday for permission to buy the Savant Project's beer and wine license from the bank that now owns it and turn the 1625 Tremont St. location into a sushi joint that promises to "inject a not-so-subtle element of fun and interest in the pure enjoyment of good food."

So far this morning, a charred 39 bus was towed from Huntington Avenue near Brigham Circle and buses had to be rolled out for the C line when an overhead power line came down near Cleveland Circle.

Trains die on three of four subway lines

So far this morning trains have had to be taken out of service on the Red, Orange and Riverside lines. The E Line is stopping at Brigham Circle because of a car accident further up the line. No word yet from the Blue Line.

An alert citizen reports this morning that somebody took offense to the Hubway bike-rental station outside the Brigham Circle Diner on Huntington Avenue.

Brigham Circle bank held up

Boston Police tweet the Sovereign Bank branch at 6 Francis St. was held up this morning by a man who escaped on foot.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black man, wearing a black hoodie, blue scarf and black backpack.

Those darn illegal bus-stop parkers! You know, the ones from the MBTA and the department in charge of parking tickets

The Globe reports a tougher law aimed at keeping people from parking at MBTA bus stops hasn't much worked. Trolley vs. bicyclist at Brigham Circle this morning

Bobby Main tweets he was on an inbound E trolley around 8:40 a.m.:

E line inbound stopped at brigham circle. T hit a bike. He's ok but a little banged up.

UPDATE: MBTA Transit Police report says bicyclist admitted blame for driving into the trolley, declined medical attention for scrapes and bruises.

Groper on the loose on the E line

The Herald reports at least four incidents of some guy groping or flashing young women on the Green Line between Brigham Circle and Government Center, most recently, yesterday.
