Drone 18 stories up

A Uhub reader on the 18th floor of a Mission Hill building looked outside around 3 p.m. to see this drone hovering level with his window, over Huntington and Longwood avenues for a few minutes:

It had a flashing blue light. I wonder who they are spying on.

With Romano's in Roslindale having given up its version of poutine months (years?) ago, word reaches us that Grub in Brigham Circle is shutting down and taking its "variety of poutine options" with it.

The Santander Bank branch at 6 Francis St. was held up around 11 a.m. by a guy with a note.

The branch was also held up last September.

The Santander Bank branch at 6 Francis St. was held up around 4 p.m. by a black man wearing a black hat, black sunglasses and a green jacket. Last spotted running up Tremont Street. He may be the same guy who held the bank up on Sept. 19; police suspect he's also responsible for other recent bank robberies.

The Santander Bank branch at 6 Francis St. was held up around 4:10 p.m. The suspect is described as a black man, in his 40s or 50s, about 6' and slim, and wearing a black zip-up hoodie over a blue button-up shirt and a red T-shirt and white sneakers with trim.

Luis Bodden-Maximo and his girlfriend had just sat down for lunch at the Brigham Circle TGI Friday's on Sept. 16 when trouble walked in the door - in the form of an H-Block gang member in a hoodie,who rushed into the restaurant and stared at him, then ran out. Read more.

Around 12:15 p.m.in the Stop & Shop parking lot on Calumet Street, near where it meets Huntington Avenue and Tremont Street. Boston Police report the victim was taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Herald reports the man, in his 20s, was "targeted."

Boston Police report arresting two of the four people they say punched and kicked a man to the ground on Tremont St. around 9:50 p.m. yesterday.

According to police, the victim was walking on Tremont when a woman, walking with three men, asked him for money.

The owners of the Ginger Exchange in Inman Square go before the Boston Licensing Board on Wednesday for permission to buy the Savant Project's beer and wine license from the bank that now owns it and turn the 1625 Tremont St. location into a sushi joint that promises to "inject a not-so-subtle element of fun and interest in the pure enjoyment of good food."

So far this morning, a charred 39 bus was towed from Huntington Avenue near Brigham Circle and buses had to be rolled out for the C line when an overhead power line came down near Cleveland Circle.

So far this morning trains have had to be taken out of service on the Red, Orange and Riverside lines. The E Line is stopping at Brigham Circle because of a car accident further up the line. No word yet from the Blue Line.
