Attack bear

A concerned citizen reports from Sutherland Road:

Bear attacking a car.

For some reason the city has closed this case as "invalid."

Celtics fade away

End of game, end of story.

Jay Fitzgerald pays his respects:

I'm trying to remember the last time a losing Boston sports team garnered as much fan respect as this year's Celtics. The only team I can think of is the 1967 Red Sox "Impossible Dream" team.

Little deer in the big city

Oh, deer

Sweetz reports a deer was foraging this morning in a yard on Woodley Avenue near Stony Brook Reservation - where deer have been spotted before.

Thought it was fake at first until it moved.

Stringed bass

Bass bass

Brad Kelly spotted this fishy bass (or whatever kind of fish that is, but it should be a bass) the other day at the Inside-Out Gallery window in Davis Square. Wonder if the creator knows the guy who turned his dead cat into a helicopter?

Now Boston losing craft breweries to Cambridge

Mark Levy at Cambridge Day noticed that three of the winners in a Boston Magazine "Best New England Craft Beers" article are based in Cambridge and Somerville, so he called them up to talk about local brewing:

There seems to be a lot of Cambridge and Somerville in the package. Is there a reason?

It's really difficult in terms of red tape to rent space to brew in Boston. I don't know if Slumbrew is in a cooperative workspace, but I know Pretty Things is, and that's kind of indicative of an attitude in Cambridge and Somerville that helps these grassroots companies thrive.

Wait, so was Zoey Deschanel at Joshua Tree last night?

It was raining, after all, but did anybody spot any tureens of tomato soup being wheeled in? Her sitcom's bus was there:

Disclaimer: I couldn't tell if IRL Zooey was here, on account of every girl in Allston looking like her.
