You won't be seeing an illuminated Microsoft sign in Cambridge for now

Mark Jaquith reports the Cambridge City Council last night rescinded its earlier vote to allow illuminated signs on buildings in Kendall Square and North Cambridge, rather than spend money on a ballot question asking voters what they thought.

See exactly who and what is on your ballot

WhereDoIVote will not only tell you where you vote but will show you all the candidates and referendum questions on your specific ballot (some districts have some non-binding questions in addition to the three statewide questions).

Don't forget to turn over your ballot! In many places, it's a two-pager this time.

As you go to vote, report on what you see

2010 Election Reports will let you file - and read - reports on anything interesting you see on the way to vote. If you take a photo, you can post that, too.

Ed note: To get it started, I posted a short item on signs already being up at one Roslindale precinct. As more reports come in, the map will become less Roslindale-centric, well, unless Roslindale becomes far more exciting than it normally is.

Major heist at South End community garden

The Eight Streets Neighborhood Association reports somebody went to considerable trouble to steal the snow blower from the Berkeley Community Garden on East Berkeley Street sometime late Friday or early Saturday:

While there has been scattered vandalism in the garden over the summer, this seems to have been a well orchestrated event. They pried the handle and lock mechanism right off of the door and stole just the snow blower. Not being a smash-and-grab item, they may have had a vehicle waiting to haul the snow blower away.

Patrick says he's sick of Baker

Democrats held a get-out-the-vote rally in Adams Park in Roslindale Square this afternoon. All the party bigwigs were there, along with assorted union members and party activists. Gov. Deval Patrick told them he's had enough of 15 months of Charlie Baker:

Congressman Mike Capuano warned Republicans not to count Democrats out:

Boston City Councilor Felix Arroyo told the crowd he finally had a reason to agree with Nancy Reagan: "Just say no!" to Questions 1, 2 and 3, he said.

Attorney General Martha Coakley spoke:
