Trolley
That must have been about the most harrowing job available in those days. The people and other vehicles darting across and in front of the trolley! Nice bit of historical film there.

I think I saw the driver in
I think I saw the driver in one of the passing trolleys talking on his cellular telegraph. Fire him!!
Those weren't his kids in the cab, either
They were "spittoon lackeys" and "manure muckers" who did the really dirty work of keeping the spitoons clean and empty and the tracks free of horse doots that could derail the trolley. They were too poor to continue their education past fourth grade, so they got the dirty jobs that had to be done by small people for a nickel a day and a ration of gruel.
Ouch!!
Oooh! I watched it again, and saw a gentleman on his unicycle get doored by a neglegent horse and buggy driver.
The victim will need his arm amputated; I hope enough sarsaparilla is brought to the scene to ease his pain.
