Update: Transit Police report they've IDed the guy.

Transit Police report they are looking for a guy they say started harassing a woman on the Green Line at Kenmore and finished by punching her in the left side of her face at Park Street, shortly before 10 p.m. on April 17. Read more.

At 11:47 a.m., the MBTA reported Red Line delays due to "a signal issue" at Park Street.

The MBTA reports delays on the Red Line due to signal problems at Broadway. Trains, the T advises, may stand by at stations, maybe go out for a bite to eat while the problem is worked on.

There were some signal issues at Braintree tonight that were bad enough the T rustled up some buses to run between there and Quincy Adams, but the T assures us the signals are working again.

Newton Police report arresting a Providence man they say led them on two chases around the Riverside MBTA station this evening - first in his car and then, after he realizing the police were blocking the parking-lot exit, by getting out and running down the trolley right of way. Read more.

Wanted for bus spitting

Transit Police report they are looking for a man they say spat in the face of a bus driver "without provocation" at Eutaw and Meridian streets around 5:45 p.m. on April 2.

The Cambridge Fire Department reports a man was extricated from under the first car of an inbound Red Line train Wednesday night.

Firefighters arrived shortly before 11 p.m. and guided the man - who remained conscious - out from under the train around 15 minutes later, after getting confirmation that the power to the third rail had been shut. He was treated at the scene for some injuries, then transported to a local hospital.

Hitachi Rail, hired by the MBTA in 2015 for what is now a half-billion-dollar project to install a network of devices designed to prevent trains north of Boston from running into each other or getting up to unsafe speeds, yesterday sued the authority for what it says are $158 million in overruns and delays caused by alleged T bumbling. A roving UHub photographer reports from Beacon Street at Kent Street in Brookline, where the Green Line stop was supposed to remain open until 10 a.m., but which was closed at 8:40 a.m. Read more.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that SEPTA, Philadelphia's equivalent of the MBTA, has cancelled a $185-million contract for new commuter-rail cars with the Chinese company building new Orange Line and Red Line trains, after already spending $50 million on the deal and not having actually gotten a single car four years after they were supposed to have started rolling in. Transit Police report on what, so far, is the weirdest MBTA crash of the year:

4/10 12:15AM Fitchburg Line between Cambridge & Belmont unknown person/s left a boat on the right of way. An #MBTA commuter rail train did strike the boat. No injuries were reported & no damage to train. TPD Detectives to follow up.

Select Board Chairman Bernard Greene says the MBTA quickly responded to a town request to erase the "Zionist Pigs" and peace symbol somebody sprayed on at least one signboard at the Longwood Green Line stop yesterday.

The MBTA reports all is now as close to well as it gets on the Blue Line, after a switch problem between Orient Heights and Suffolk Downs that was bad enough to require a little holiday bustititution.
