Transit Police report one man's apparent idea of a joke left one of their canines with an injury - and the man under arrest.

Police say Antonio Brown, 25, of Cambridge, walked up to a K-9 patrol car at the Mass. Ave. Orange Line stop around 7:50 p.m. yesterday and "began to hiss, grunt and bark" at Viktor the police dog:

Transit Police report officers doing fare-evader duty at Mass. Ave. on the Orange Line yesterday evening quickly became interested in the gentleman who was demanding a customer-service agent let him in for free because "he was an 'Active Duty' member of the US Armed Forces."

Crush at Davis on the Red Line

An inbound Orange Line train passed onto the next plane of existence near Community College sometime around 7 this morning. The T brought in another train to push its carcass out of the way.

Then an outbound train felt death's cold embrace at Community College as well.

Meanwhile, on the Red Line, a train crossed over to the other side at Downtown Crossing, causing massive... Read more

Updated with information from Transit Police.

Stuck buses on South Huntington Avenue

Two stuck buses. Photo by Gordon Hallett.

As of 2:45, there were three 39 buses dead on South Huntington Avenue by the VA Hospital - two due to a bit of crashiness. Police asked the dispatcher on that route to stop sending buses down South Huntington.

And with nowhere for them to turn around, E Line trolleys that normally would head that way are instead terminating at Brigham Circle.

Waiting at Green Street for the Orange Line

Like a bad dream: Waiting for the Orange Line at Green. Photo by Kristin MacDougall.

All the doctors in the world upstairs could do nothing to revive the outbound Orange Line train that expired at Tufts Medical Center around 8:20 a.m.

This was after a Green Line trolley expired at Copley and various trains heading to South Station took a break in their morning routine thanks to switch problems.

UPDATE: Another Orange Line train died at Sullivan, or maybe it... Read more

Red Line dead at Broadway in South Boston

Jason Rowe snapped this photo around 5:20 p.m. at Broadway where, naturally, an inbound Red Line train had to be pulled out of service:

Distinct smell of overheated brakes.

A Red Line train (of course) inbound from Braintree headed for the pearly gates this morning, not long before a Green Line trolley packed it in at Park Street.

Signal problems caused delays on the Lowell lines, mechanical problems bedeviled the Haverhill Line and a shortness of cars means putative riders couldn't even get on a train in West Natick.

UPDATE: A second Red Line... Read more

Seat hog on the Green Line

Or may he just likes taking a wide stance. Whatever the reason, Amy B. snapped the seat hog's photo on a crowded Green Line train tonight. And to answer your question, she didn't ask him to fold 'em up because she already had a seat.

I do ask people to move if I need to sit myself.

Transit Police report 25 cases since Jan. 1 of electronic devices being stolen from T riders, in particular, Apple devices and on the Red Line.
