Never mind Pope Francis has urged his flock to get Covid-19 shots, that, in fact, he calls people who refuse them sufferers of "suicidal denialism." Associated Press reports parents of some Boston College student are rending their garments over the way the Jesuit-run school is refusing to grant their children religious exemptions.

Cambridge Day reports on a bit of uproar surrounding Radcliffe Quadrangle: Nearby residents had long used the space as an unofficial dog park, but when a Harvard student started chasing dogs with a large stick last month, the university responded by banning unleashed dogs. Cambridge Day reports that when one dog owner confronted the H-Man and threatened to call police, he responded by calling his house dean.

The Zoning Board of Appeal yesterday approved plans by the owner of the Linden Street block that houses the Garage nightclub with a three-building complex with 349 tiny apartments, including some lofts set aside for artists. Read more.

A former track and field coach at Northeastern University was charged today with wire fraud and cyberstalking for allegedly posing as a woman himself as part of a ploy to get athletes to send him nude photos and for allegedly cyberstalking one Northeastern athlete - to the point of figuring out how to break into her Snapchat account. Northeastern is expecting fully vaccinated Huskies this fall - except for people with a medical or religious exemption. International students from countries that might not have as plentiful a supply of vaccine can still come, but the school will help them get a shot.

Cambridge Day reports on a Covid-19 outbreak among Sloan School of Management grad students, many of whom were "gathering and traveling together." There was a similar Sloan outbreak last fall.

The Daily Free Press reports a group of students are demanding Boston University provide free washing machines and dryers across campus. The school offered to look at helping out students with financial need pay for washing their clothes, but the group says that's not good enough - laundry needs to be free for all.

Northeastern University announced today it's planning on fully re-opening its Boston campus for the fall semester, although students and staff will still need to keep those faces covered and maybe even come in for some Covid-19 testing. Read more.

The Tech reports and condemns e-mail from somebody claiming he will pay $50,000 to female students with certain Chinese surnames if they give up some of their eggs - about five times the going rate for them and without any mention of the potentially serious complications (like, oh, death) for women who get hormone shots to stimulate extra egg production for harvesting.
