Memo to every writer everywhere who would write more than one sentence about recovering thug Mark Wahlberg: HE'S NOT FROM SOUTH BOSTON and he did his maiming and rock throwing in Savin Hill, which is in Dorchester, which is an entirely different neighborhood.

Last week, we had some Columbia Journalism School graduate at the Daily Beast proclaiming Wahlberg grew up in "the rough Dorchester section of Massachusetts, otherwise known as 'Southie.' "

Even as the rain supposedly nears the end of its increasingly annoying reign, the waters just keep piling up. From T stations to Rutherford Avenue in Charlestown and Circuit Drive in Franklin Park, which police shut due to flooding to Roslindale Square, which lost power, Bostonians have had enough, enough to slap anybody who might chirpily say "at least it's not snow!" Yeah, that guy.

In Somerville, one motorist had to be rescued from flood waters in Union Square.

The Daily Beast recounts Mark Wahlberg's childhood and early thuggery, starting with:

Wahlberg grew up the youngest of nine children in a broken home in the rough Dorchester section of Massachusetts, otherwise known as "Southie."

We should probably forgive them, though, since they're based in the rough Manhattan section of New York State, otherwise known as "Philadelphia."

NECN reports the OFD actor thinks his lifetime of good works, church going and acknowledging the savage, racist beatings that left one of his victims blind in one eye are reason enough for a pardon. Also, wiping the criminal conviction off his record would help him get the "concessionaire's license" that would help him with his hamburger business.

Christmas tree in Neponset Circle, Dorchester

A concerned citizen wonders how somebody in a wheelchair is supposed to cross Neponset Circle until the new year:

Neponset Circle is hostile enough to pedestrians without putting trees in the middle of crosswalks. How is this ADA compliant? Can't the tree go on the other side of the clock where it won't block the handicap ramps?
