The Herald reports on an incident around 1:20 a.m. on Sunday at Boylston and Berkeley streets, in which four alleged goons got into an argument with their cab driver at Boylston and Berkeley streets that ended with them pulling him from the cab, beating him and leaving him lying on the ground.

Boston Police report they had some help arresting a Mattapan man for breaking and entering at a Back Bay apartment - from the tenant, who police say watched the guy ransack her Comm. Ave. apartment via a camera she had running.

Even as the rain supposedly nears the end of its increasingly annoying reign, the waters just keep piling up. From T stations to Rutherford Avenue in Charlestown and Circuit Drive in Franklin Park, which police shut due to flooding to Roslindale Square, which lost power, Bostonians have had enough, enough to slap anybody who might chirpily say "at least it's not snow!" Yeah, that guy.
In Somerville, one motorist had to be rescued from flood waters in Union Square.
A Green Line inspector could be in hot water for an incident on the Green Line this morning in which a door panel on a trolley suddenly fell off the train, a spokesman says:
A Green Line inspector is facing disciplinary action for failing to ensure that the trolley door was secured in the closed position before the train proceeded to Park St. Because of his failure to follow established procedures, a segment of the door dislodged after making contact with a part of the subway infrastructure.
New England Conservatory students will play in a concert on Saturday to benefit the Friends of Boston’s Homeless and The Women's Lunch Place and the people displaced from programs on Long Island when its bridge was shut in October.

If there's a place bike racks are needed it's here ! Bikes attached all over the place! Maybe you can get Apple to make a large art piece for a bike rack! I'm counting 10 bikes locked to everything except bike racks!
The Herald reports on the battle between the BPL board of trustees, who think it's dandy to decorate the main library with Christmas wreathes, and a Back Bay resident who wants to supplement the wreathes with a menorah.
The mayor, who appoints library trustees, has decided it's "not his place" to try to convince them otherwise.
Good thing Boston has more than one paramedic unit: Boston EMS Incidents reports that when a report of a person suffering a heart attack in the Prudential Center food court came in around 10:30 p.m., the Paramedic 1 unit stationed on Purchase Street was dispatched to the scene - but couldn't even get out of its bay due to the large traffic jam caused by protesters in Dewey Square and police blocking traffic to keep motorists from plowing into the protesters.
Dispatchers then routed Paramedic 2, based on Warren Street in Roxbury, to the mall, where firefighters and EMTs were treating the unconscious but still breathing person until the paramedics could arrive.
State Police report 51 people were arrested at three locations during last night's wending Ferguson protest march, which made its way from one highway ramp to another in what turned out to be vain attempts to block a highway.
Some 33 people were arrested on or near the Mass. Ave. Connector, where protesters first tried to walk onto I-93 south; 17 in Dewey Square; and 1 person on a ramp down to the O'Neill Tunnel at Purchase Street, State Police say.

A Ferguson protest in Dudley Square turned into a march of people that kept getting thwarted by Boston and State Police to shut one of the highways running through Boston.
The action started at the Southeast Expressway southbound at the Mass. Ave. connector, where protesters were mostly blocked - although they shut down the connector, police kept them off the Expressway.

In response to somebody's query about what exactly "moderate" means when he's been sitting on a trolley that hasn't moved in ten minutes, the T added:
Yes, we describe a "moderate" delay as a major disruption in service.
