At what point do you just let the passengers out because walking would be faster?

Peter McStravick tweets from an inbound Worcester Line train, stuck for 30 minutes somewhere between Yawkey Way and South Station:

They should change the name of this line to 'Worst'er!'

Emily Rooney does her best Rosie O'Donnell impersonation

OK, OK, I got sucked in and actually watched "Greater Boston" and its expose on Balloon Boy.

Rooney started out by asking her guests, two lawyers, "Part of this, don't you think, is we all want REVENGE."

One of those lawyers writes for the Daily Beast, which Rooney apparently thinks is more legitimate than Gawker.

"We're all angry," Rooney said.

But the best part was when Em started complaining about Balloon Boy's mother. She complained about the "fake inarticulate Asian thing going on," and then did her best impersonation of a woman with a fake inarticulate Asian thing going on - I can't even recreate it here, it was sort of like a second or two of a cat that's just had a rock dropped on its tail.

Is Rooney trying out for a seat on The View?

Spate of residential break-ins in West Roxbury

Boston Police report three homes were broken into on Oct. 19 and a fourth on Oct. 14 - all during the day.

Homes on Woodley Avenue, DeSoto Road, Edgemere Road and Ridgecrest Terrace were all broken into, with jewelery and cash the targets. In one case, a witness reported seeing three suspects, roughly 17 to 20, black males, one wearing a back pack. In the Edgemere Road break-in, the thieves took a World War II Purple Heart medal.

Brawling teens, onlookers clog up Forest Hills T stop

A brawl that erupted around 2:45 p.m. yesterday at Forest Hills disrupted bus service through the station as MBTA and Boston police tried to clear both combatants and groups of teens who gathered to watch, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.

The DA's office says officers found three of the teens on the lower bus level "yelling, flailing their arms, and challenging one another to fight," while two more were at the upper busway whaling on each other.

Arraigned today in West Roxbury District Court were:

Ato Botsio, 19, of West Roxbury; Tamaria Toney, 17, of Hyde Park (also charged with assault and battery on a police officer); Treavon Treadway, 19, of Roslindale; Steven Ulysse, 20, of Mattapan (also charged with possession of pot with intent to distribute); Stephen A. Wright, 18, of Roxbury and a 16-year-old from Dorchester not named because of his age. All except the 16-year-old were released on personal recognizance at arraignment in West Roxbury District Court; Judge Ernest Sarason denied prosecutors' requests to revoke Treadway's bail on a West Roxbury larceny case and Wright's bail on a Dorchester gun case. The younger teen had bail set at $250 and was ordered held on an unrelated warrant from Boston Juvenile Court, the DA's office says, adding another 16-year-old is scheduled for arraignment Friday on a charge of affray.

Toney was not charged with fighting, but the DA's office says that she refused to move when police officers tried to clear out teens clogging up the bus lane: "When officers specifically instructed her to leave the area, she allegedly screamed at the officer, pushed him, and attempted to provoke the group."

Toney's Facebook page would seem to indicate she was putting her own personal philosophy to work: "Ima Cool ass female but once ya on my bad side its ova! I chill wit nothin but tha baddest! & i can careless about wat anybody thinks or says about me cuz dont none of yall do shit for me!!!"

Innocent, etc.

What does Balloon Boy have to do with the Boston area?

Beats me, but Emily Rooney will be discussing the case tonight on "Greater Boston," which describes itself as tackling "the region's top news stories with original reporting and comprehensive analysis."

So I look forward to her "in-depth discussions with guests from diverse perspectives" (in this case, two lawyers she dug up) that will take us "beyond the day's headlines," such as, oh, letting her explain her fantasy about punching Balloon Boy's mom in the face and knocking all her teeth out, because right now, that's about the only original thing about this case that's gone untackled.
