Brookline man gets Allston beatdown

Teen arrested for shooting that left Orange Line shut down a couple weeks ago

Boston Police report arresting an 18-year-old on charges he shot a man on March 26 at Amory and Williams streets near English High School. The Orange Line was shut for more than 20 minutes as police searched stations and trains for Edgar Tejada after the shooting shortly before 1 p.m.

Police say they arrested Tejada at his home on Arcola Street in Jamaica Plain around 9 a.m. today and that they recovered the weapon allegedly used in the shooting. Tejada will be arraigned tomorrow in West Roxbury District court on charges of assault with intent to murder, carrying a loaded weapon on a public way, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
