Yes, you can get Somali food in Boston

UPDATE: Closed.

Lisa Johnson gives a thumb's up to Tawakal Cuisine on Bennington Street in East Boston:

For my lunch, I had a Chicken Sambusa appetizer, which was a hot crisp, light turnover stuffed with chicken. There’s no picture of it, because I devoured it before I had time to take a decent picture. Yes. It was that good. Then I had Chapati Fish, which is unleavened bread cooked on a griddle, then stuffed with fish and fresh sautéed vegetables. It was a joy to eat as well.

I reviewed it for the Phoenix a few weeks back: http://thephoenix.com/Boston/food/116163-review-ta...

Blue Line friendly -- or does one need to drive?

Right across from Orient Heights.

I've been there twice, and agree completely with Lisa: very personable service, good food, and the tea is great!

What we UHubbers need to do is create a guide to really cool restaurants in close proximity to major T stops. ;~}

But Boston's eight years behind on every other food trend, so why should this be different?

HopStop has had Boston coverage since 2005 - Boston was, in fact, the second city Chinedu added after NYC (alnog with DC I think - but I was only a beta-tester for Boston).

Also, I really don't mind that Boston resists slavishly following trends from NY et al. There's a lot more chowhounds around here than foodies, and that's just fine with me.
