The MBTA is now running buses between Blandford and Washington streets on the B Line because of what the T calls "an overhead wire problem" that requires some repairs before the trolleys can run again.

The MBTA reports 20-minute delays on the Green Line due to "a train with a mechanical problem approaching Copley eastbound."

This comes a few hours after the Green Line was completely stopped after a trolley lost its pantograph at Park Street.

The Green Line isn't running between Copley and Government Center because the T has to inspect the tunnel under Tremont Street to make sure some work by a utility crew above the tunnel didn't do any damage to what is, of course, the country's oldest subway tunnel.

Transit Police report arresting a Medford man they say stared at a woman on a Green Line platform on Park Street, followed her onto a trolley, sat across from her and then "exposed his genitals and committed a lewd act." Read more.

Greg spotted one of them at least partially open, in front of the CVS in Copley Square. The T said it would send somebody over to close it.

The T is reporting both a dead outbound trolley at BU East and a wire problem near BC.

The T is currently busing Green Line passengers between Kenmore and Park due to what it calls "a power problem."

Earlier in the morning, Orange Line riders got to experience delays due to a dead train, which lead to un-social distancing on the remaining trains.

Isaias may only be giving the Boston area a glancing blow, but it's enough to snap trees like matchsticks on the Mattapan Line between Milton and Butler and on the Riverside Line near Longwood and Newton Highlands. Buses have replaced the Mattapan trolley and D Line trolleys from Kenmore all the way to Riverside. Read more.

WBZ reports Ride drivers and the comapny that runs the Ride reached a contract deal; the T says the Ride should be back to regular operations today.

Separately, the T's put in new barriers and signs on buses and trolleys, which means riders once again can board at the front on buses and at street-level trolley stops - so break out that CharlieCard The move also means more seats for riders.

The MBTA announced today that it's returning to front-door boarding on buses and on trolleys at street-level stations, including on the Mattapan Line, on Monday - in a move it says will also mean more seats available for passengers. Read more.

A smoke-belching cable halted Green Line service between Government Center and Park Street around 11:15. One trolley got stuck in the tunnel; T workers escorted passengers from there to Park Street.

Nathaniel Stinnett watched some of the demolition of the steel part of the Lechmere viaduct this morning. It's coming down for the realignment of the Green Line towards the new Not-Lechmere station being built as part of the fabled Green Line Extension.

Tonight marks the last time the T will use the current Lechmere station for anything trolley related. It shuts tonight and in 11 months or so, there'll be a brand-new station nearby as the current tracks are extended towards Somerville.

Around noon, a B Line trolley slipped off the rails at Park Street, sending the T to both right the train and alert the few remaining Green Line passengers that they'd need to take the Orange or Red lines if they needed to get to Park Street.
