A Dorchester woman pleaded guilty yesterday to injecting beauty seekers buttocks and lips with a silicone polymer, even though she's not a medical professional and the stuff is not approved in the US - at least not for injections.

Around 9:55 a.m. at Wayland and Magnolia streets. Police recovered eight shell casings. One car was hit; no human victims found.

The location is a few blocks from where gunfire erupted earlier this morning.

Stanley Staco reports somebody fired several rounds around 12:50 a.m. on Alexander Street and that at least one of the bullets ended up in a resident's bedroom. No injuries reported.

Boston Police report a woman was stabbed and her purse stolen around 9:30 a.m. outside 11 Whitten St.

A vehicle matching that of the suspect’s was seen in the area of Talbot Ave. and Harvard Street. The individuals occupying the vehicle also matched the description of the suspects. Both suspects were placed under arrest. All of the victim’s property was discovered within the vehicle.

The Boston Licensing Board decided yesterday the ratio of wine and beer to cheese and other foods at Savin Hill Enterprise, 1047 Dorchester Ave., did not violate any board regulations.

The shop, which opened earlier this year, had been cited by police in July for using too much shelf and refrigerator space for alcohol; police said that seven of eight shelves marked "food" on a store floor plan were actually being used for beer and wine.

Homicide Watch Boston reports the Suffolk County District Attorney's office dropped the charge against Eric Barnes after the May death of a woman in the South Bay House of Corrections who was going to testify against Barnes.

Barnes and two other men were charged with murdering Brousseau Normil, 20, of Cambridge, whose body was found stuffed in the back seat of a rental car on Langdon Street in Roxbury in 2013.

On July 17, a Boston Police detective entered Savin Hill Specialities, the new wine-and-cheese shop at 1047 Dorchester Ave., and took careful note of how many shelves were used for wine and beer and how many for food items. He looked in the shop's coolers to compare the ratio of chilled alcoholic beverages to soda and water.

A man with no front teeth tried holding up the Citizens Bank branch at 572 Columbia Rd. in Uphams Corner around 10:30 a.m., but fled without any money He's also described as black, in his 40s, about 5'10" with a slim build and wearing a white polo shirt.

A Roxbury man who didn't signal before turning right onto Hancock Street from Bird Street in Dorchester last night sparked a chase in car and on foot that ended with him crashing his car and under arrest for possession of both heroin and a gun loaded with hollow-point bullets, police report.

Officers investigating the death of Patrick Marcelin's six-year-old son at 61 Devon St. in Dorchester on Thursday were unable to keep Marcelin from stabbing himself to death when they arrived at the apartment where he'd been staying, Boston Police report.

According to police, the boy was in cardiac arrest when first responders arrived at his home around 9:30 a.m., but that the exact cause of death remains under investigation. Then, police say:
