Quincy Police report the top of the garage at 1261 Furnace Brook Parkway proved unequal to the task of supporting a dump truck driven up there today. No injuries, at least, police say. More photos.
This woman, who loves, loves, loves the new Wollaston station, what with its gleaming and clean maps and signs and floors and stuff, would probably die of happiness on the spot if a new Orange Line train came through, so we feel bad about mentioning that JFK/UMass, Andrew and Broadway are as much "real Boston" as all the stops with more than two colors on the maps.
Boston Restaurant Talk reports a new barbecue place in Quincy will feature the usual sort of barbecue stuff you'd expect, along with alligator fritters, alligator sausage and alligator tail.

Shortly before 9 a.m., somebody fell ill on a car on a Red Line train just outside North Quincy station, which naturally led to delays so T personnel and EMTs could get the person off the train and to help. But, of course, this is the post-JFK-derailment era on the T's most heavily used (if not quite as much anymore) subway line, so things quickly went south - or rather, nowhere at all: Read more.

Transit Police have released photos of five guys wanted on charges of aggravated assault and battery for an incident at the North Quincy T stop early Friday, a couple hours after the Bruins beat the Hurricanes at the Garden, in which they "viciously" beat a man, breaking bones in his face. Quincy Police report they've charged a woman with filing a false police report after, they say, she admitted making up a story about being thrown to the ground and robbed by a bald black man in a hoodie in Russell Park on March 25.
As part of a thorough investigation, detectives reviewed surveillance in the area of the crime scene. When Detective Eddy re-interviewed the alleged victim, she confessed that she had made a false report.
