Thomas Baker, 62, had been missing since last week. The Patriot Ledger reports a state trooper and a search dog found his body, and that there is no evidence of foul play.
How does a man of sound mind (he drives - his car was mentioned in the article) end up dead in a wooded area? Seems there must have either been foul play or the gentleman had a mental deficiency? The fact that they assumed he may be in the woods, as opposed to have just run away seems to indicated the latter. This was a very confusing story to follow as details seem to have been intentionally left out. I don't mean to be insensitive just curious. My thoughts go out to the family, I hope they get an explanation of what happened. A sad story indeed.
Probably all we need to know was the report in today's New England in brief in the Globe. The single paragraph quotes the Milton police chief as saying, "It appears that he took his own life."
I don't feel as though anyone 'needed to know' that. I enjoy the comments section of stories some times for current events etc. but once they report that a person is deceased and they leave it at that...so should all of us. Put yourself in the place of a family member reading these remarks-- #leaveitalone

Guessing...
...that if they thought it was the general public's business, they would have said.
