When we lived in JP...
...it was on the top floor of a big ol' mansion on Spring Park Ave. Atop the third full story there's a cupola which has a widow's walk on top of that. And since the house itself is built on a hillock well above street level, you have something like a 7 or 8 story view of the city to the northeast.
On a clear day, you can see well downtown, the top of Beacon Hill, the South End and a hint of Fort Point. Certainly before they filled in South Bay, one could have spied masts of tall ships along the FP channel wharfs and maybe even in Old Harbor.
(God, I miss that place! Best roof deck garden I ever had.)

Yep
We lived on the third floor for nearly a decade (so we had access to the cupola and roof deck). Pretty amazing place.
