Two-alarm fire displaces eight in Roxbury

The Boston Fire Department reports a fire called in around 5:45 a.m. at 16 E. Cottage St. in Roxbury did an estimated $500,000 in damage.

There were no injuries, the department says, adding the cause of the fire in the two-family house is under investigation.
