Dorchester man who traded drugs for guns sentenced to five years in prison

A federal judge yesterday sentenced Shayne Parker to five years in prison for interstate transportation of firearms and being a felon in possession of ammunition, the US Attorney's office reports.

Parker, a convicted drug dealer, was convicted in March for driving drugs up to New Hampshire - in plastic bags he'd stash under his scrotum - to pay straw buyers to purchase guns, which he'd then drive back to Boston and sell. Parker couldn't just buy the guns himself because of his convictions, one for selling cocaine.

The judges that preside over the courts in Suffolk County are a bunch of liberal, political hacks who pay for their jobs. Universalhub could really make a name for itself if it did some real investigative reporting by sitting in the courtrooms of judges like Judge Bolden in South Boston District Court, in Roxbury, judges like Weingarten, Fiandaca, Poole, and Dichel and watch as they let drug dealers and violent offenders, many with long and violent criminal records take a walk with CWOFs, dismissals, promises to do better, repeated sentences to drug treatment. It's no wonder that the drug and violence problem plagues certain areas of the city. Please, Universalhub, do the city a service and use you skill to expose these judges who continue to do the wrong thing. Thank you.
