Rhode Island man charged with watching woman undress in a dressing room at the Revere Target

Sheldon Fulbeck, 39, of Lincoln, RI., will face arraignment in Chelsea District Court for being a peeping Tom just as soon as he gets out of a Dartmouth lockup where he's being held for a similar crime, Revere Police report.

Fulbeck allegedly went into a unisex dressing room at the Revere Target on Monday and peered over a divider at a woman as she undressed in the next compartment.

He's formally charged with annoying/accosting a member of the opposite sex, trespassing and disturbing the peace, police say.

In 2014, Fulbeck was one of the first people - and possibly the first - charged under the state's new ban on upskirting after he allegedly snuck into a Target dressing room in North Attleborough and slid his phone under a divider to capture a woman changing clothes. When caught, he allegedly tried to destroy the evidence by taking out his phone's SIM card and chewing on it.

Innocent, etc.

Granted, a person's name doesn't necessarily condemn them to anything in particular; but if ever a pervert had a name, Sheldon Fulbeck was surely it.

I didn't realize that dressing rooms were now unisex. (I intensely dislike the big box shopping experience and buy online as much as possible or try to shop at more human scale stores).

Mr. Fulbeck seems to like Target, perhaps they'll strip him of his red card now.

Most stores have unisex fitting rooms nowadays, to the point that I consider the gendered ones to be an anomaly.

..is the only place I can think of without unisex dressing rooms and it frustrates me to no end because if my girlfriend wants an opinion on an outfit she has to take a selfie and text it to me

Most fitting rooms are not unisex. I would not change in a unisex fitting room. Adult men do not belong in fitting rooms with young girls as it's inappropriate -- I don't know any father who wouldn't agree with this. I shop for clothes fairly regularly at a number of different stores... you don't know what you're talking about.

Every fitting room I've been to has separate rooms (Stalls). It isn't like a group shower.

I hate to break it to you but 99.99% of the adult male population has no interest in peering under fitting room doors to look at young girls. Sorry to disappoint you.

In an attempt to be the most PC social justice warriors on the planet, Target earlier in the year changed their bathroom and dressing policies to allow anyone to use whatever bathroom/changing room of there choice. Target has since been boycotted and has lost about $10B in market cap compared to other big box stores. Their stock price has dropped about 20%.

That Target has only had one fitting room area for as long as I've shopped there (5+ years).

It'll rebound once short-sighted people find the next "dangerous" thing.

You hit every talking point FISH missed; thanks for clearing that up for us, I'd hate to get through a discussion of bathroom gender politics without having someone bring up social justice warriors.

In an attempt to be the most PC social justice warriors on the planet, Target earlier in the year changed their bathroom and dressing policies to allow anyone to use whatever bathroom/changing room of there choice.

/s/there/their. Most folks stopped reading when their eyes glazed over at "PC social justice warriors," but for those who didn't: there are still more Republican congressmen who have been arrested for sex offenses in bathrooms than there are trans people.

Target has since been boycotted

Breitbart says, look upon my works, ye mighty, and despair!

and has lost about $10B in market cap compared to other big box stores.

What does this mean?

Their stock price has dropped about 20%.

Oh, you meant it has dropped by that amount because the stock price has fallen. That's... kind of a weird way of putting it, but sure, why not. Meanwhile stock price has dropped 20% since... its all-time high? Its high this year, a month before the boycott was announced? I'm guessing you're using its close on April 19th as your benchmark, in which case, yep, down 20%. It's also up slightly since the beginning of the year, and up 300% since 2009. What's that you say? The Target in question has a unisex policy that long predates this boycott? And those are arbitrary dates, stock price is not an accurate estimation of sales, and using cherrypicked data is useless to the conversation? Well, gosh, you've got me there.

I thought I'd underestimated you, guy, but apparently that's impossible to do.

Sheldon Fulbeck need only bide his time, he'll soon be able to go to the girl's bathroom, dressing room and even shower with naked women at the gym, as long as he "identifies" as a female that day. Any law mentioning the "opposite sex" must be nullified. Who are we (or the police) to question which gender one is feeling at the moment? To question his presence in the ladies room will soon be a "hate crime" itself. If women have a problem with him in the ladies room, Attorney General Maura Healey advises you to "hold it" until he decides to exit. God Bless the Democrats and Charlie Baker (a distinction without a difference)!

Can't we all just get along (in one big unisex bathroom?)

BTW, ever been to Europe? Unisex ain't nothin' but a thang over there.

It was already a unisex changing room, and he's in jail for this? the system works?

As an aside, Adam, how do you let this crank post yet delete all my slightly-less insane rants? please do the needful.

I'm pretty sure that sexual harassment will not be legal under the bathroom bill. Going to the bathroom will be.

Yep - repeat offender. Google has several articles about him "up-skirting" in the past. Imagine working with this guy? Ewwww. Hopefully there's a woman who upside his head in the future, which future I'm sure will happen sooner than later.

is it that this guy has an active profile on Couchsurfing? Granted, it says he hasn't logged in for two years, but still. Yikes.
