Of course, whether that student will be able to come here to attend Wheaton College is another matter.

Wheaton's just trolling
So, how many scholarships did they offer to any of these countries in the past?
i wonder if the student that receives the scholarship
will feel that way
or whether or prospective students that hear about it will. people around the world need to hear and know that not everybody in this country would just as soon discount them as humans and discard them.
its a small gesture, but, you dont need grand overtures to provide some hope or some much needed positive PR.
Scholarship
How about just offering a scholarship to any student. As Senator Warren says, "the middle class is being hammered" and Americans need help with tuition costs too.
Non sequitur
No doubt they do have such scholarships. Most colleges and universities have many different kinds: needs-based, scholarships aimed at certain communities, scholarships intended to recruit students into certain programs, athletic scholarships, etc. Before assuming that Wheaton doesn't, why don't you find out what they do offer?
Please note also that Wheaton is a private college, and perfectly entitled to do whatever they want with their scholarship money...as is the case with the many private organizations that offer scholarships.
