I haven't seen the book, so I have no idea whether those are modern documents or not. But I feel I should remind folks that Texas does have a legitimate constitution, just like Massachusetts; it's actually had several. And, in 1836, Texas did declare independence from Mexico.d
Not sure whether facts have much to do with this discussion (it is the internet, after all), but there you are.

Massachusetts not only has a constitution that predates the U.S. Constitution by several years, but it also has a much better track record on basic human rights having allowed slaves to sue for their freedom (and damages!) in 1781 and guaranteeing marriage equality in 2003.

With Amazon, Kindle, public libraries etc. the entire bookstore will be on the bargain rack soon. They'll be going the way of the video store shortly. Poor ordering skills if they thought the Texas Constitution would sell here. There's a Texas Roadhouse in Walpole, I wonder if some Barnes and Noble algorithm sent it there.
