Roxbury man charged with helping brother murder teenager in Dorchester

Jawone Shepard, 18, was arraigned today on murder charges for the fatal shooting of Phillip Demings on Bowdoin Street on Dec. 19, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Shepard's brother, Jaquan, was charged with shooting Demings. Shephard was charged for his alleged role in planning out the murder with his brother and for driving him to and from Bowdoin Street, the DA's office reports.

Shepard was arraigned after surrendering to police. Like his brother, he was ordered held without bail.
