Chuck Tanowitz urges you to see the museum now, before it shuts forever this summer:
... The art is wonderful, an amazing collection of major modern works, but so is the space. The original museum is filled with light and also feels comfortable and serene. ...

Location, location, location...
Brandeis' location on a side road in Waltham has made it easy for people in the Boston Metropolitan area to forget that the place exists. I've only ventured to that area for concerts at the Spingold Theater (gee..I wonder if the Lydian String Quartet's residence at Brandeis is at risk?); I wouldn't be surprised if news about the closing of the Rose causes so many people to view their holdings that they pull a WBZ and refrain from closing it down!
Location that bad?
It's not really that much more off the beaten path than the DeCordova - it's like five minutes away from 128 and the turnpike.
Also on commuter rail
near the Brandeis/Roberts stop. In fact, it's easier to get there than to the DeCordova, which requires several miles of walking or bicycling from the Lincoln train station.
Although people with heart or ankle problems
Probably don't want to take commuter rail there, since it's all uphill from the stop.
Save the Rose Art Museum
Save the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University.
I'd rather save the Gardner
I'd rather save the Gardner museum.
