Three teens charged for two street robberies in Cambridge last night; one also charged with Sept. 14 armed robbery

Cambridge Police report arresting two 17-year-olds and a 16-year-old for two Mid-Cambridge robberies last night - with one of them also facing charges for a Sept. 14 armed robbery.

According to police, a man walking on Fayette Street around 8:13 p.m. was approached by the three, who demanded and got his wallet. Minutes later, anther person was robbed at Inman and Harvard streets. Based on the victims' descriptions, police say, officers arrested two of the teens on a charge of unarmed robbery.

Police say they found evidence from the robberies at the home of the third teen - while executing a search warrant for evidence related to a around 4 p.m. on Sept. 14 at Harvard and Lee streets. In that incident, the teen allegedly approached two people and demanded money "while reaching in his pocket as if he was armed with a weapon," police say.

That teen was then charged in connection with all three cases, police say.
