Boston Police report seizing "a large quantity of fireworks" on Dacia Street in Grove Hall last night.
Police say officers responding to a report of bombs bursting in air around 9:30 p.m. arrived in time to catch part of the show over Dacia and Dove streets.
As officers pulled onto Dacia Street, they observed fireworks being lit in the middle of the street. Officers further observed a UHaul van containing a large quantity of fireworks. Officers spoke to a male who stated he had rented the UHaul. Officers informed the male that fireworks are illegal and that they have been a serious nuisance for residents across the city. Officers confiscated the fireworks.
Kids, remember, fireworks are illegal in Massachusetts.
