Mastercard seems to be having a bit of a a global problem processing transactions. But, you say, UHub is a local-news site? Ron Newman brings it home:

This time, the hackers have gone too far. They've awakened a sleeping giant (Massholes with caffeine-withdrawal headaches).

Eastern Bank's website now says

The Debit Card service issue caused by a global Mastercard outage has been fully resolved. We thank you for your patience and apologize for any inconvenience this may have temporarily caused.

and I can confirm that I was able to add $2 to my Dunkin account just now.
