Male, 16, found with gunshot wound around 10:25 p.m. yesterday at 46 St. James St.. Taken to Boston Medical Center, pronounced dead.

The Globe identified him as Quamaine Williams.

yo quamaine i mean theres a lot to say bout him me and him were next door neighbors for about 6 or 7 years i lived in 49b and we like grew up together we had gud timez and bad timez laughs and cries stayed up till the sun came up man he was like the best and my gurl carmen i always hung wit her like i feel so bad cuz i didnt even get to say gud bye. like if ppl remember my peoples offered him a good life to live wit us and stay clean and he was until ppl made him change his mind. man R.I.P maine i love you still
