Why banks want you to take your hat and sunglasses off

Who is that hooded dude?

MassMostWanted says the above fellow is wanted for holding up the City of Boston Credit Union branch at 1010 Morrissey Blvd. on March 4. The 6'1" guy must've been warm under his blue/green hooded sweatshirt, fleece style mask, baseball cap and gloves. He also didn't shave that day, although how can they tell?

I always take my sunglasses off, as I do when I walk inside of any structure where there is no sun. But my hat stays on my head at the bank.

Has anyone been yelled at or spoken to for not removing one or both?
