Criminal tip: Don't rely on cabs to flee the bank you've just held up

The Globe reports a man who allegedly held up the Sovereign Bank at 279 Mass. Ave. this morning tried to flee in a cab he hailed after leaving with a bag of loot. He didn't get far, the paper reports.

This is reminiscent of the fools who robbed Cambridge Savings Bank in Harvard Square in broad daylight several years ago, and tried to get away down Dunster Street. I don't think the getaway car made it to the end of the block...
