South End woman faces charges for the gun, drugs police say she kept at home

Boston Police report arresting Marybeth Bilodeau, 39, of 168 West Springfield St., near Tremont, after finding "a loaded .40 caliber Ruger SR40C handgun, 50 bags of crack cocaine weighing 44 grams and 11 bags of marijuana weighing approximately one pound," in her residence there.

Police say officers from the citywide and D-4 drug units with a search warrant raided her home around around 12:15 p.m. on Nov. 28. Bilodeau was not home at the time, but police say she returned around the same time on Tuesday, at which point officers arrested her on charges of unlawful possession of ammunition, trafficking Class B drugs and possession of a large-capacity firearm in the commission of a felony.

Innocent, etc.

Interestly enough, a person with same name seems to be/or was a Nursing Aide at BMC. She may want to explore alternative employment options as we approach the new year...

Unless and until you have compelling proof it's the same person.

Internet commenters often get the wrong person, and some innocent person is harmed.

Subreddits adopted this policy after a tragedy. UH should have the policy too.

She was not a worker at BMC, I know her personally. That information is wrong.

She wouldn't have had the firearm if the prospect of being locked in a cage for having the drugs wasn't a possible cudgel to be used against her.

Why don't the people who want to ban guns use this as one of their talking points? They might actually get somewhere.

Why are you asking if she lives in an affordable unit?
what are you implying about people living in affordable housing?
