Ugly tan bugs set to invade homes, freak people out

Jennifer Forman Orth reminds us that now's the season for Western conifer seed bugs, which sort of look like a cross between a cockroach and a cricket, to begin invading homes in search of warmth:

that bug is quite attractive
if you ask me, and not at all tan. More pink. I was expecting those--what are they called?--water bugs, the shiny flat cockroach-style bugs that I found in great number on the wall of the Pizza Pad in Kenmore Square one memorable night. Now, THOSE are some tan bugs.
