Fogged in

Did it come in on little cat's feet where you are? Up here in the Roslindale hills, there's no fog, but it was interesting looking downtown and seeing this fog bank come in and cut off the top of the Federal Reserve Bank.

Im on the third floor of a house and can see it rolling by right outside my window.
Didn't see it so much as felt it
We were sitting outside Crema Cafe in Harvard Square, and the temperature dropped at least 10 degrees within a half hour.

It rolled through Fort Point like a conquering army. Blue skies disappeared. The tops of cranes vanished. Even the seagulls seemed confused.

I first noticed the change when I heard a pair of hawks calling back and forth over and over and over again. I looked up and out over the city to see a big bank of fog roiling across the valley. It was getting chilly, too.
I didn't see where the hawks were until they descended, calling to one another. They found each other and headed back into the woods together, flying low. I think the fog caught them unawares while they were doing their usual flapless circling over the area looking for munchable rodents thing and they were trying to stay together as they got out of the fog.
