That WAS a rather shabby way that the guy at Shell treated you. Yet, I'm also glad that you got some help from some guy(s) at Sunoco who were nice and willing to help. I agree that the attitude(s) of the guy at the Shell station was deplorable, and it's really too bad that more people aren't like the guy(s) at Sunoco who helped you out. Glad you found a decent person. All the best.
Disgusting potholes!!
I accidentally ran over a sizeable pothole tonight while I was driving someplace, and boy am I lucky I didn't get a flat. It bothers the hell out of me that the city lets potholes go and doesn't even bother to fix them.
