Boston and Transit Police are looking for a group of teens who rushed out of the Apple Store with a dozen iPhones this afternoon. The group consisted of both males and females, mostly in hoodies, one black, one red, one green.
A concerned citizen complained shortly after 10 p.m.:
There is a child (maybe 8) who is sleeping on the street outside the Apple Store while his parents are in line. This is child abuse. Please intervene.
As Chris shows us, there were already people lined up outside the Apple Store on Boylston Street at 12:50 p.m. today to make sure they are among the first to get Apple's latest thing when it goes on sale tomorrow morning.
UPDATE, 7:10 p.m.: The bomb squad determined the package was not suspicious but was somebody's misplaced property.
Not only is the store now shut, but Boylston Street in front of the store is closed to pedestrians and motor vehicles.
A particularly grumpy citizen complains about the people waiting outside the Apple Store this morning to buy the newest iPhone:
There is an encampment of over-privileged, unwashed, hipster morons sleeping outside 815 Boylston Street. Don't these people need a permit or something? Please evacuate these turds from our streets. Their pretentiousness is wafting all through the neighborhood.
