Saugus Police are hunting a man they say grabbed a woman at knifepoint Tuesday night and was getting ready to rape her when he suddenly fled, possibly spooked when first her dog and then other dogs in the area began to bark.

Rashad Deihim, 19, is in custody tonight, will face arraignment Monday on a variety of charges related to an alleged violent sexual attack, Saugus Police say.

Saugus Police issued a BOLO today for Rashad Deihim, 19, on charges of assault with intent to rape, kidnapping, indecent assault and battery on a person age 14 or older and posing or exhibiting a child in a sexual act.
Just last month, Deihim was arrested on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after he allegedly dragged a woman with his car.
Deihim should be considered dangerous. He may be attempting to flee the state.

We need to stop litter and keep Massachusetts clean by spreading the word about the Yes on Question 2 campaign.
The Bottle Bill is the most effective recycling tool we have. Eighty percent of bottles covered by the Bottle Bill’s 5-cent deposit are recycled. Yes on Question 2 would add a bottle deposit to water, sports drinks, tea, juices, and other drinks that were not included in the original bill because they were not popular when the law was passed in 1982.
We need your vote on November 4 to update the Bottle Bill.

Saugus Police report they are looking for a man they took off in a 90-year-old's car in the Stop & Shop parking lot this morning.
Police say officers found the man on the sidewalk, bleeding. He declined medical attention, however.
They say the victim had just come out of the store with groceries when he was attacked by a white man, about 5'7" with dark hair. He sped off in the victim's brown, 2001 Ford Focus, Mass. plates 868-NHV.

WHDH reports Saugus Police have arrested a man who tried to rob a Dunkin' Donuts this morning. No word yet if he's the same guy wanted for a couple dozen Dunk's holdups in recent months, including five in West Roxbury.

Throughout the day, a steady stream of people pulled into the Hilltop parking lot to pose with the cows. Even motorists on Rte. 1 slowed to take a gander at the cows on the restaurant's last day open.
