Vehicular Menorah stocks up for the holidays
By ESun on Tue, 12/23/2008 - 2:36pm
I live across the street from the Stop n' Shop on Harvard Street in Brookline and yesterday around 8 pm witnessed the strangest thing! There was a white SUV cruising around the parking lot with what appeared to be a menorah (with 2 lit candles) mounted on its roof and what I suspect was Hanukuah/Hebrew music blaring from some speakers.
Did anyone else see this? It was quite the automotive display of holiday spirit!

Read up my friends!
Saw something similar last year!
Last year I saw a guy in a little white car driving around the Back Bay with a menorah on his roof blaring Hebrew music! Maybe he upgraded to an SUV this year!
Travelling Menorahs
I've seen the van, as well as a compact car that has a huge menorah on top! Love it. Last year, saw a bunch of Chasidic men in the van and gave them a big thumbs up!
sounds like the one that was parked near Park St Sunday
They were doing the first lighting Sunday evening at sunset, and there was a white vehicle with a menorah on top...
PIMP MY CHANUKKIAH
Word.
One of my neighbors drives one
Its always parked on Melton Street in Brighton.
Us
We are very close to each other, you and I.
(I'm just off Monastery and see that guy all the time..the description of the white minivan sounds like that guy)
Hum-Dredel?
With a can of spray paint, Hebrew letter stencils for each side, and a sheet of ice you could play a new game!
hmm...
I had a little Hummer
I filled it up with gas
And when I tried to spin it
It landed on its ass!
Wait, no.
That's Tight
That's pretty tight - sounds like the work of your friendly neighborhood Lubavitchers. Happy Hanukkah!

I lived on Mt Hood road in Brighton 7+ years ago (Across from the whole foods) and each year one of my neighbors would strap a huge menorah to the roof of their car.
