As cheesy as this is, Wakefield has been, and probably always will be, my favorite Red Sock. Really classy guy.

Maybe they could get Elmer Fudd and Don Zimmer together for a cel or two.

Love the print. I'll have to consider it (the lithograph anyways).

In other Wakefield news, with the first out in the 4th inning last night, he earned himself an extra $500,000 by triggering a clause in his contract for innings pitched that bumps his contract up from $1.5M to $2M. He also earned another $75k for the start on top of that ($75k per start for starts #10-#15...or something like that on an increasing scale).

He's an amazing class act and the Red Sox are better with him than without him still.

Wonder if I can go without eating for a month?

"Gone Batty" was an MGM cartoon short, not a Warner Brother's one.

"Batty Baseball", which is the title of the MGM short. That's what I get for shooting from the hip.

The goon they used on the promo poster next to "Gone Batty" isn't in Gone Batty. I think he's in "Baseball Bugs" (and he's supposed to be in blue, because Bugs is in red just like in Gone Batty).

So, it's still a bit confused...but I think they got the intent across. :)

most of the "tough guys" Bugs has faced over the years, be they baseball players ("Baseball Bugs") or construction workers ("No Parking Hare"). However, IMO, the expression on the guy's face in the poster is just a little too "stupid" looking for a true Warner Brother's Goon (or for a member of the Gashouse Gorillas).
