Making up for Red Line woes

John Pepper, who took this video, reports he so enjoyed the show - "best Red Line ride in a decade" - he tipped them $20.

These are the guys that are outside Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall in the warm weather - they've moved their show onto the Red Line hetween Central and Harvard (if I'm remembering correctly) now that it's cold. They are GREAT entertainers, I can't help but stop and watch them for 5-10 minutes whenever I come across them, even though I've seen them a million times before!

I saw these guys just before Christmas. It was an otherwise crappy ride home on the Red line after a crappy day at work, and I wasn't in the mood for much of anything, let alone anyone kicking their legs within inches of my head. By the time they were done, though, I couldn't help but smile and clap. Good stuff. No-one got kicked in the head.

I don't like being bothered on my commute. Worse still when the bothering consists of an agreesive form of pandhandling. Dear T Police, use this video as evidence and bust these guys.

Shame on anyone that hands money over to these jokers. Don't encourage them.

Sometimes I'm amused by this, but sometimes I just want to read my book or do a crossword puzzle in peace. I will admit to deliberately standing in the aisle once (even though seats were available) in order to limit their range, so I could continue having a civilized conversation with my nearby seated friends.

If their act was as short as on the video, I wouldn't mind, but it would get annoying if it kept going on. Never saw backflips on the red line before!
