When did Rudy Giuliani become a Massachusetts resident?

As Johnk notes, yesterday Scott Brown denounced a rumored pro-Coakley visit by Obama, saying "they're bringing in outsiders and we don't need them."

This morning, Brown was in the North End, campaigning with Giuliani.

You have a point.
But I think the Scott Brown campaign is referring to the bus loads of SEIU union members that support Coakley.

funny, with the accent when he said "SEIU union members" it sounded like "Obama"

NO, it was pretty clear that Brown's comments--and the Herald's front page BUTT OUT headline--were referring to a potential visit from President Obama. Leave it up to Massachusetts voters, they said. Even though days before they were touting the upcoming visit by Guiliani...a politician from outside Massachusetts.

Par for the course when it comes to the Brown campaign, which complains about out-of-state money then collects piles of its own. Who claims he isn't familiar with the Tea Baggers, though he spoke at one of their events and has a special mention of them on his site.

Right...

and the former mayor of New York is the same thing as the current president...

I am so glad our tax dollars are being spent on the president meddling in a state election.

totally! How dare he use his time to try and do what's necessary to shepherd through the health care legislation that he made a central campaign promise..... especially when he could be out cutting brush in texas or something.

Both Obama & Clinton have been on the ballot here and were elected by Mass. voters. I think presidents have earned the right to give us their two cents once in a while. Also not sure how a speech equates with meddling. Meanwhile, Rudy Guiliani is just another guy from the Hamptons who couldn't even get his own kids to vote for him.

The difference is that Rudy is a private citizen who came here on hie OWN DIME. Obama is the President, who is coming here to campaign on the PEOPLES DIME(is this legal? Its quite unethical)

Yes it's legal, no it not unethical.

Should be dig through history to find just how many times Bush/Cheney did this? Or any GOP politician?

The faux outrage is hysterical. That might work to rile up your base, but sane people see through the flimsiness and hypocrisy of the line.

It goes to show what a lack of core convictions Giuliani has that he would stump for Scotty B. Either that or how bad his memory is. Scott Brown was one of only three Massachusetts State Representatives to vote against a bill to provide financial assistance to Red Cross workers who had volunteered with 9/11 recovery efforts. That was a giant FU to New York. Brown's message was clear: "Save yourselves, you losers!"

An interesting question is whether Giuliani got paid for his visit, or it's just understood one hand will wash the other after the election. After all, he's a professional lobbyist now. At least when a politician comes to stump, you know they're not getting bundles of cash in a briefcase. Giuliani is laughing all the way to the bank. He'd sell his mother for a buck.

I think it's fine that Giuliani backs Brown, but it's wrong for the President to select
and campaign - he is supposed to be bi-partisan, for ALL the people, but clearly he is
not - anything for his agenda at any cost. We should not have to foot the bill for his trip, that is
unconsionable........but what else would you expect of such a corrupt administration?
