They could have humanely euthanized the deer, removed it, and not ruined someone's fence.

Even accepting the implicit argument that there's deer overpopulation (which, fair enough and I'm inclined to agree) and that the stuck animal might better have been euthanized, they still might not have been able to remove it without either cutting the fence (as they did) or butchering the animal in public, which could have been problematic on a number of fronts.

Perhaps the problem is human overpopulation? Are all the turkeys really downtown on purpose?

If you think human overpopulation is a problem, you can contribute to the solution any time you like.

If you think human overpopulation is not a problem, you should spend some time reading things for adults.

It is a problem. See http://www.un.org/en/globalissues/population/, if you are so inclined.

In case you are wondering, I do put my money where my mouth is: I decided not to have children. In addition, I made quite a few other choices in order to minimize my impact on the earth. I live comfortably and don't regret these choices.

BTW, we killed off the top predators, and we are expanding further and further into areas where wildlife live. All of the problems we are having are our own fault.

Frankly, I am glad I don't know you. What you said wasn't funny, and your statement about overpopulation shows that you have, at best, a lack of education.

Second, you lack compassion. You would rather butcher this frightened animal than cut the fence. For you, money is everything.

...rather have an innocent healthy animal die needlessly than have a fence want for some minor repairs?

Or perhaps the owners preferred to save a life, Lunchbox.

A full-grown deer couldn't fit through those fence slats.

Poor baby :(
