Jamaica Plain News has some details on the independent bookshop opening on Green Street, just off Centre.
Tres Gatos, Lucy Stoner (still around, right?), comics/graphic novels at JP Comics, used books at Boomerangs ... but the more the merrier of course
Tres Gatos is a bit of a stroll from the centre of JP. And while I appreciate the books at Boomies and Goodwill, they're no substitute for a real, live bookstore where you're not depending on sheer luck to find what you're looking for, unless that happens to be eight copies of Eat, Pray, Love or What to Expect When You're Expecting.
I believe is the name of the book store, on Centre between Hyde Sq and Jackson Sq.
And I've been there, and written about Tres Gatos, so I should have written a more accurate headline, which I just did.
But to be honest, I've never been interested in a "radical bookstore"--I'm really not much for uber-specialized bookstores of any kind, beyond the Grolier. Looking forward to Papercuts!
Tres gatos isn't much of a bookstore any more. I mean, they have books, but it's not really very browsy.
