Alleged Bloods gang member arrested in Dorchester after armed robbery in Everett

Boston Police report the arrest of a man newly on probation for armed-robbery convictions who was wanted by federal officials for his alleged participation in the robbery of a man in Everett last month.

Dejahn Harrison, 27, who has "a lengthy, violent past" and was considered armed and dangerous, was arrested following a stakeout at 37 Pleasant Hill Ave. yesterday, police say.

Harrison was turned over to US marshals for a trip down to US District Court in Boston to face a variety of gun charges today.

According to an affidavit by an ATF agent involved in the case, Harrison, "a member/associate of the Bloods street gang" and another Bloods member drove to Everett on Feb. 1 to meet a man who thought they would sell him a .380-caliber semi-automatic handgun. Once the man got in their red Altima, they drove about a block, after locking the doors, stopped. The man handed over $600 for the gun, but then the other guy put a magazine in the gun, pointed it at the man, said he was being robbed and, after finding he had no additional money, they ordered him out of the car.

Unfortunately for Harrison, the man turned out to be a former Bloods member now working as a "cooperating witness," so he was wearing audio and video recording devices that recorded the whole incident for federal agents who were nearby.

According to the affidavit, Harrison was sentenced to 3-5 years in prison in 2012 on a Massachusetts conviction for four counts of armed robbery and illegal possession of a firearm.

Innocent, etc.
