Man spends two hours treading water in Boston Harbor after being knocked out of boat somehow

Quincy Police report that Boston Police and the Coast Guard rescued the man this morning off Columbia Point, after getting a report of a skiff just going in circles.

Quincy Police say the man was found about a quarter mile from his boat - and add the case is a good example of why people who go out alone should use a "safety lanyard kill switch," which the sailor attaches to his clothes or body and which kills the engine should he get thrown overboard.

Juvenile (delinquent) whale.

That's his story and he's sticking with it.

I'm thankful for the person who noticed the skiff running in circles, realized theis wasn't normal, and called it in.

"See something, say something," isn't just about some security theater bullshit, it's actually about being alert and keeping an eye out for each other's well being.
