California Trump supporter faces up to five years in prison for threatening to massacre Globe reporters and editors

As expected, Robert Chain, 68, of Encino, CA, pleaded guilty today to federal charges related to the more than one dozen phone calls he made to the Boston Globe threatening to shoot Globe employees in the head.

US District Court Judge William Young scheduled sentencing for Sept. 23, the US Attorney's office in Boston reports.

Chain had earlier agreed to plead guilty to being an asshole who decided mass murder was the appropriate answer to the Globe's efforts last year to organize a national series of editorials about how the press was not the enemy of the people. As a convicted felon, he will have to give up all his guns.

You know Trump is thinking about pardoning him. Crazy, old losers are the demographic that supports him the most. He thinks crime is fine if white conservatives like Joe Arpaio commit it.

Ever since I was a kid, I have always looked up to Donald Trump. It was the 80s. I did not have the whole statesman aura of Ronald Reagan going on nor did I yet have the Edwin Meese skills of tech writing for the modern leader.

Back in the day Trump was totally more of a lover than a fighter. Nowadays he does come off as a bit of a dandy, but still retains his expertise in matters that most men nowadays would fold faster in than a Chinese laundry.

That said, I am sure Donald Trump is as fine with the felonious crimes of Don King as he is with misdemeanors of the LEGENDARY Joe Arpaio

Wake me up when President Donald Trump gets involved with the pussies in weather underground.

Ever since I was a kid, I have always looked up to Donald Trump.

You have to be pretty low to be able to look up to that. Trump has always been both a loser and a disgusting excuse for a human being. Given a million dollars a year since birth, he expressed his gratitude by trying to cheat his father out of his businesses.

Aim higher.

Given a million dollars a year since birth, he expressed his gratitude by trying to cheat his father out of his businesses.

His father was most likely very proud and all "Eye of the tiger, Donny. Bring it. No mercy. KMFDM"

Just because your starry-eyed upbringing is Opie and fishing poles with dad does not take away from the multitude of other dynamics out there in the realm of raising a winner.

Trump is a winner.

Real fathers raise winners without caring about what people like you think.

I ain't finished.

Donald Trump did not squander his advantageous lot in life.

Donald Trump became president of the USA.

Winner.

He was lofted up by a corrupt political party who fooled losers like you into admiring him using propaganda and immoral foreign aid in a lopsided popularity contest controlled by land mass instead of popular opinion.

He’s King Loser, gifted with illegal technicalities his entire life.

He’ll be in jail as soon as he’s impeached or voted out of office.

The guy is cool as a cucumber. Sitting there as leader of the free world. Tweeting smack like a pro for giggles. Beholden to ABSOLUTELY NO ONE.

No teleprompter.

No worries.

Hot wife.

The guy has never lost anything.

I don't know if these comments were made in earnest but I'm going to respond as though they were since most* white men (let's be honest) obviously feel this way, consciously or otherwise.

Has it ever occurred to you that constantly failing upwards at the expense of the less fortunate isn't everyone's definition of winning? Dare I ask, has it occurred to you that not everyone is interested in a pale, 120 pound eastern european trophy wife?

If Trump wasn't in charge of American lives, no one would give a shit what he does or says -- I even think he can be funny at times! By all means, he can be a rich fucking douche bag on his own time, just gtfo the White House.

*EDIT: "many" white men.

They scream projection, to me.

them feel better about their own third-rate lot in life, their moral failings, the dim bulb inside their heads.

Trump and his cult of frustrated old white men are the living embodiment of that old P.T. Barnum saw: “Nobody ever lost a dollar by underestimating the taste of the American public.” I'd amend that to "taste or brains".

I grew up watching the guy on the local tabloids and thought he was an idiot, just like everyone else around NYC. We all laughed when he repeatedly filed for bankruptcy and had messy, public divorces.

His win speaks far more about the electors.

Were you like, tabloid king in your circles... or just an average tabloid reader?

They merely browsed the covers of them while waiting in line at grocery stores. Not in NYC for me, growing up, but the usual bouncing between racy cover stories about people like Trump or other celebrities and Bat Boy.

cover stories about people like Trump or other celebrities and Bat Boy.

A poster admitted zhe learned all about Trump from the same source as Bat Boy. Lordy.

I used to read Weekly World News for Ed Anger's column. It was like it was written by Morton Downey Jr and Larry the Cable Guy.

Oooh.. here is a tabloid article about Trump becoming king of England https://www.scoopnest.com/user/harrymccracken/628838492278145024-in-1992...

Trump sure failed at that huh? And all those aliens he collaborated with. He sold us out.

You said,

The guy has never lost anything.

Then,

Trump sure failed at [becoming the king of England] huh?

Losing and failing are often synonymous.

I'm afraid you've lost me.

Trump sure failed at [becoming the king of England] huh?

According to the tabloid.

I do not buy it. At least one poster here believes tabloids and admittedly relies on them for information.

divorces, for which he filed bankruptcy, but the idea that Trump's win speaks far more about the electors is not totally accurate, since Trump lost the popular vote, and the fact that the Electoral College is still in place in our system.

Donald Trump may be an idiot, who constantly had messy
divorces, for which he filed bankruptcy,

Trump has never filed personal bankruptcy.

One does not have to file for abject moral bankruptcy.

Funny how you have nothing to say about him losing the popular vote. I thought he never lost anything? Cat caught your tongue?

How about just pile on all the sarcastic derogatory comments that that the OP deserves and move on to more pressing issues.

"Block" has no effect on what any other user of the site sees; it does not silence anyone; it merely filters out the "blocked" individual from your own personal feed.

to someone else's BS. Not on the sidewalk, not on the train, not at home, not at work, and not on the internet. You can say whatever you like, and other people are free to ignore you. That's not "silencing" someone else - it's having your own freedom to move along and choose to listen to whomever you see fit.

I also grew up in the 80's. That man's shitty and shady business practices helped put someone out of business in Atlantic City would was very close to me. He ruined their life and has no idea, just like he's ruined countless other lives over the years. So yea...fuck him. I've said that for decades now.
