No wonder it crashed. They should have had a driver.

In response to these two comments, I rewrote the headline and post to use the passive voice.

I'd put a few bucks on "swerved to avoid one of the dozens of UberEats/DoorDash/BringFudNow drivers that clog that stretch and double park and weave in and out of other double parked delivery cars", But I guess we'll see.

… hit me on my bike in the bike/bus lane because of an Uber driver parked in the lane blocking the view and forcing both of us to go around.
I’d bet a few bucks as well.

Based on what that job pays, it's really not worth the gamble to risk the ticket/tow to leave a vehicle unattended in a bicycle lane. Enjoy your cold food because I parked at the other end of Harvard's campus, walked, got your food, and walked back. And that's an 8:00 meter, so whatever meager tip you give me is eaten by that fee.

Seriously, why do that job? The lead generator doesn't give a (expletive) enough about you to raise the rates to cover that, and the populace wouldn't ever eat an increase from what they pay now to ensure that a driver doesn't have to double park because they want to order from the high-traffic area which perpetuates the existence of said restaurant in the first place.

Looks like getting off one's ass and also ghost kitchens are the waves of the future.

Pretty sure #myspouse has a folder called "bring fud now" on her phone. Is she running some sort of business I should know about?

Is an open letter of support from Harvard profs forthcoming?

The Garage Mall will soon be demolished. It will be replaced by a 6-story building of ground floor retail and unspecified mixed uses above that. Of course they're preserving part of the facade, due to the city policy that Harvard Square must be converted into a shell of its former self.

I'm going to miss many of the shops and restaurants.
